Live Performance Saturday - September 27th, 2008 Allan James - vocals, guitars, keys This webcast show will be broadcast from Allan's home and studio (Arc of Light Studios). The equipment from one room (the studio) has been dragged out to another larger room to accommodate a stage and guests. Some may say, "Hey, what is a webcast and/or why are you doing this?" Well Allan has been experimenting and producing videos for his music projects for several years and when the internet was just taking off and there was no YouTube or Myspace, you still could go and see small, frame skipping videos of Allan on his website. It was not good, the bandwidth was not available and it was difficult to produce anything really cool. Well now it is a different story... and you can sit in your home, get some drinks, turn up your PC or MAC speaker system, and watch and listen to the entire show from the comfort of your own couch!! Shots of Tequila for all?? Allan has always continued to push technology and use what is currently available to see just what creative possibilities can be achieved. Take the musicians, equipment, the guitars, drums, bass, and overall music... and connect with people around the world!! When could we play music for people in Russia, South America, Canada, Iceland, Europe, and all over the rest of the world? Allan has done just that... and since the 1990s he has built a large fan base all over the world just by playing original music using the internet. Allan will be performing with two great musicians later this month on a worldwide webcast on BlogTV, with Rodney Crihfield on bass and Donnie Gray on drums. It has been years since these 3 have worked together on any music projects. The only other show they did recently was a webcast in April 2008, and that show was really just a jam party with friends/musicians. This show is the first of several shows they will perform in the coming months as well as working together on a NEW CD! Donnie and Rodney played on Allan's 1st two CDs - the "Break the Silence" and "All The Time", and Donnie played on Native Tongue. They both have appeared in Allan's music videos, on TV shows, radio, and live performances. Both Donnie and Rodney have also done several other music projects and have their own websites and myspace. Donnie is also currently working on his photography business and recording songs with Allan. Rodney is on tour with the band "The Audio Outlaws". Allan, Donnie and Rodney will also be doing a concert together on OCTOBER 25th, at the Grace Hall Concert Series. Right near Halloween! This show will also include another great guitar player, Tom Taschler. Tom plays in a popular DC band called DEBRIS. You can check them out on Myspace too!
